Scape Kensington brings new life to Anzac Parade as part of the corridor's transformation through light rail infrastructure. The 18-storey building balances civic ambition with neighbourhood character, using an arched brick podium to frame the street and a vertically expressed glass tower above. A new public plaza, integrated laneways and ground-level retail create a range of well-connected spaces for both students and the existing Kensington community. Purpose-built student accommodation focuses on shared living, with community kitchens, study areas and social spaces that encourage natural interaction. A vertical green spine carries landscape from street to rooftop gardens. The building prioritises public transport and natural ventilation, with minimal car parking and renewable energy integrated throughout. Working collaboratively with urban designers, landscape architects and engineers, we created a project that adds genuine public value while defining the precinct's evolving character.
“Student life is exciting and full of possibility, and Scape Kensington reflects that. It creates genuine connections – linking students to each other and their neighbourhoods.”
