Scarborough, a premier coastal suburb in Perth, benefits form its wide beaches and views over the Indian Ocean. As a consequence, many of the new developments sit cheek-by- jowl along the waterfront, with the quality of build often compromised to simply crane a view over the beach. This property in Scarborough doesn’t benefit from water views, even though its only located ‘a few dunes away’ or equating to less than a kilometre. However, Klopper & Davis Architects (KADA) focused its energy on designing a multi-level home for a couple with adult children, allowing it to respond as the children move between home and living independently.
