Cinderella Deep is the entry and gathering room for Cinderella House in Redfern. Designed by Geller Studio, the reuse fit-out transforms an industrial shell into a civic room for work, hosting and exchange. Ubuntu, “I am because we are”, shaped both outcome and process. Developed on site in collaboration with the client, makers and specialists, a nearly eight-metre walnut table anchors the day, then shifts into shared meals, tastings and talks at night. Existing brick and structure remain honest, layered with cork, leather and clay render against galvanised steel, glass and concrete. Furniture, lighting and styling bring together client-owned pieces previously specified by YSG Studio, additional items by Geller Studio, and styling by Joseph Gardner. Sustainability is led by reuse: retaining the shell and key services, improving comfort through shading, ventilation and dimmable lighting, and extending the life of vintage pieces and locally crafted joinery.
"Cinderella Deep has lived up to expectations of being a wonderful entry into Cinderella House with all of the right brand and cultural cue’s." Client – Client Perspective from Cinderella Collective
