FROM THE INT CHAPTER EXECUTIVE LEADER

Chapter team updates

Our small team works across both the Tasmanian and International Chapters, and I wanted to share a few staffing updates.

After almost eight years with the Institute, Fiona McMullen is commencing parental leave. During her time with us, Fiona has played a pivotal role in strengthening our advocacy work and delivering the Tasmanian and International Chapter Architecture Awards. Her dedication, professionalism and unwavering commitment to our members and the profession have been invaluable, and she has consistently gone above and beyond in everything she has undertaken. While we’ll certainly miss her over the coming year, we’re excited for Fiona and her family as they prepare to welcome their newest member and wish them every happiness.

Joining Natalie Newland and me as part of the Tasmanian and International Chapter team (along with Loren Bates, who works from the Tas Chapter office) during Fiona’s leave, is Martin Blake, who will take on the role of Chapter Operations Lead. Martin brings extensive experience in public policy, government and strategic leadership, having previously served as CEO of Infrastructure Tasmania and Keystone Tasmania. His strong understanding of the built environment, policy development and stakeholder engagement will be a tremendous asset to the Chapter, and we’re delighted to welcome him to the team.
