Wollemi Capital translates the specialist climate investor’s mission to accelerate climate innovation into an intelligent, adaptive workplace in the heart of Sydney. Challenging conventional ‘green design’ agendas, the project prioritises measurable efficiencies, material reuse and extended object lifecycles, delivering a layered spatial response that balances integrity, durability and long-term performance.
Conceived as a collection of discrete yet interrelated ‘elements,’ the workplace establishes an adaptable framework that responds to the company’s brief for a low impact, evolving workplace. Deliberate overlaps between breakout, social, work and focus zones allow spaces to shrink or expand as needs change, while a suite of hyper-efficient design elements addresses sustainability across design, fabrication, and material sourcing.

Wollemi Capital embodies the values of the climate investor Client through an ambitious, first-principles approach. Deliberately restrained, a flexible workplace has been formed through a series of considered, discrete ‘elements’ – each bespoke, carefully engineered and designed for disassembly and reuse.
Base building works are minimised by exposing and celebrating the structural floor and essential building services, with subtle linings simplifying existing openings while providing acoustic treatments that support the open, flexible layout. Elemental joinery, desks and kitchen elements utilise delightful structural techniques, appearing to defy gravity while expanding and blurring boundaries between spaces.
Thoughtful selection and procurement extend to furniture and art. Restored classic pieces furnish a communal space that can be rearranged to host events such as talks and catered events. Exceptional artworks, including by First Nations artists have been procured through Artbank.
