UMCycle Bike Kiosk

UMCycle Bike Kiosk and Cycle Plaza opened in 2017 and is located at the University of Manitoba’s Fort Garry campus, Canada. The built project forms an active transport hub and serves as a campus landmark, linking to The Great Trail. The UMCycle Bike Kiosk was also the first project at the university to incorporate the Indigenous Planning and Design Principles.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre

Uluru-Kata Tjuta is a built project and cultural centre. It’s built sustainability, emphasising a responsibility to the environment and as a celebration of Anangu culture.

Tweed Shire Council Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management Plan

This written document is the Tweed Shire Council Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management Plan. It includes an acknowledgement of Traditional Custodians and a Statement of Commitment to people, culture and Country. The document also includes a breakdown of the Aboriginal Heritage Management aims, plans, recommendations and community consultation.

Synapse SAIF (Supported Accommodation Innovation Fund)

The built project, Synapse Warner Street is a part of the Supported Accommodation Innovation Fund. The facility is supported accommodation for people with acquired brain injury. Methodology of designs for the site focused on idea of reconnecting to Country through stimulation of colours textures and smells.

Stolen Generations Marker, Remember Me

Stolen Generations Marker, Remember Me, by Kamilaroi artist Reko Rennie is a permanent tribute to the Stolen Generations. The built project is situated on an important Aboriginal meeting place the project was guided by the Stolen Generations Marker Steering Group. Remember Me is an expression of cultural resilience, identity and connection to land and culture.

South Eveleigh Native Rooftop Farm

This garden was co-designed by members of the Local Indigenous Community. The space features diverse plants with focus on Sydney Region species and reinvigoration of cultural cultivation practices. The built project also creates habitat for both people and wildlife.

Reflections Gallery (WA Museum Boola Bardip)

Reflections is one of the permanent gallery spaces a part of the Western Australian Museum, Boola Bardip (Many Stories). The space holds a diverse range of subject areas, highlighting personal stories of being a Western Australian including those of First Australians. The space holds structures that showcase the collection and many stories while highlighting the heritage space of the Jubilee building.

Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Services (PAMS) Newman Clinic

The PAMS Newman Clinic is a built project that opened in 2020. It is the first primary healthcare clinic facility to be built in Newman. Following the vision of the Nyiyaparli and Martu Peoples, the Newman Clinic gives Aboriginal people access to community controlled and culturally appropriate health services.

Origins Gallery (WA Museum Boola Bardip)

Origins is one of the permanent gallery spaces that are a part of the Western Australian Museum, Boola Bardip (Many Stories). The Origins gallery explores the relationship between people, space, place and time and draws inspiration from the ancient landscapes of Western Australia. It draws on landforms on Country, Indigenous knowledge and utilises shape, texture, colour and light to transform the space.

Ngarara Place, RMIT University

Ngarara Place is an addition to the cultural and campus life of RMIT University. The purpose of the built project was to establish visible presence and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories as connected among the lands of the Kulin Nation. The building design and landscape were influenced by Country, with culture reflected through motifs and contemporary art.
