The Melville SHS Sports Hall is a state-of-the-art Sports and STEM facility delivered through a bespoke architectural design that caters for the expanding needs and demands of Melville Senior High School. The project has successfully provided this top-performing health and physical education studies School with a new Sports Hall, Fitness Centre, 2 STEM Classrooms, Planning & IT Room alongside adjoining facilities and amenities. This new facility provides a tailored standalone multipurpose solution that releases the school’s existing sports hall for other uses and developments, delivering a new sport facility to meet the growing enrolment relieving the pressure on existing physical education facilities, whilst providing better access and a new student hub and school identity of the school campus.
“Our Sports Hall will be a place for physical activity, social interaction, personal growth, and importantly, school identity. It is the building where our students will develop the ability to work with others and be part of a team. It is also where they will develop their sense of belonging at school. In this new facility, we look forward to welcoming new cohorts of Y7s, full of anticipation for what might lie ahead as they begin their high school experience, and where we will farewell our Y12s as we celebrate all they have achieved over their years at high school.”
