At the centre of this narrow site stands a single Spotted Gum that has towered over the existing terrace since the early 1970’s. Considered a tremendous gift, a suite of precise interventions respond directly to this magnificent tree, binding the atmosphere of the home with the everchanging presence of nature.
Living in a house designed by Lachlan captivates us on a daily basis and has completely transformed our lives.
Lachlan was incredibly committed to understanding the way our physical surroundings touch us at practical and poignant moments in time – from the position of a tap to the precise angle that the sunlight greets us through a skylight as we descend from the master retreat to the living space each morning.
Lachlan developed a deep understanding of our personalities and lifestyle to facilitate a design that is an emotional and functional extension ourselves.
