Welcome Nicky Adams and Claire Austin to the Tasmanian Chapter Council

Earlier this year, Nicky Adams, of MANA Architects, was appointed to Chapter Council. More recently, Chapter Council welcomed Claire Austin, of Homes Tasmania.

Nicky Adams is a director at MANA with 25 years of industry experience. She has worked for and in private practice, and for local government, on a variety of typologies and project scales, from small bespoke hospitality and public art installations, to large community/public buildings, education, commercial, urban design, and interiors. Nicky has been involved with the Open House Hobart working group for many years, and is an active member of the Findlay Project (the Tasmanian Chapter’s committee supporting women in architecture), where she is convening the Parlour Salons in Hobart.

Claire Austin has experience in a range of projects across different practices and cities, and has a particular passion for medium-density social housing. Until recently, Claire was working as a senior architect at Cumulus Studio, and is now a lead program officer at Homes Tasmania. Claire has been a mentor through the Institute’s mentor program, and a member of the Awards Taskforce.

Chapter Council looks forward to Nicky and Claire’s ongoing contribution and having their expertise and experience guiding the Tasmanian Chapter.
