Call for expressions of interest: new Queensland Practice committee members
The Queensland Chapter of the RAIA is seeking several new members for the Practice Committee for a 2-year term.
The Practice Committee engages in related topics that affect the practice of Architecture and review, advise, and inform Industry, Chapter Council and its members.
commitment
These working positions require approximately 1 – 2 hours commitment per week involving short weekly update meetings, for about 30 minutes open to all Committee members who can attend, and monthly Practice Committee meetings held for an hour every second Wednesday of each month. Tasks often require reviewing and reporting industry briefing material related to statutory amendments, and proactively reporting on industry change and direction.
ELIGIBILITY
If you are engaged and interested RAIA, EmAGN or SONA member, able to volunteer your time and feel that you have something to contribute, you are welcome to express your interest as an eligible member. Emerging architects and Regional Queensland Members are strongly encouraged to apply.
EOI PROCESS – HOW TO APPLY
Please submit your Expressions of Interest for the Queensland Practice Committee with a Statement of Interest and CV (2 pages) demonstrating your areas of interest, potential contribution, experience, and credentials.
Please submit by 5:00 pm Friday 11th August 2023 to qld@architecture.com.au
All candidates, successful and unsuccessful will be informed by email by 25th August 2023.
Successful candidates will be invited to attend the Practice Committee on Wednesday 13th September 2023.
