This renovated home for a maturing family of five is warm, bright, and meticulously planned, balancing robust functionality with inviting aesthetics. Timber is a defining element, chosen for its durability, sustainability, and ability to be revitalised—unlike plasterboard, which is prone to damage. The blend of solid and veneered timbers creates a warm, cohesive interior, enabling fluid transitions while contrasting with white surfaces and complementing sheer curtains, vibrant tiles, and lush greenery.
Within a compact footprint, every internal detail was considered, ensuring storage is integrated, concealed, or displayed to maintain order. Bespoke joinery, such as the custom built-in sofa that merges with dining seating and small stair level changes, exemplifies multifunctionality. Spatial compression and expansion create relief, while subtle connections between rooms enhance ventilation and openness. Architecture and interiors coexist as one, ensuring the home evolves with its occupants—supporting them now and into the future, whether living together or independently.
Our home design allows us to move freely into spaces that suit our mood and needs. Each area has its own feel, balancing open connections with quiet retreats. It effortlessly adapts to our growing family of five and our dog, ensuring comfort, flexibility, and functionality. Whether working, playing, or unwinding, the layout supports our daily rhythm, making it a place where we feel at ease and enjoy life.
