The interior of Sanctuary Church has been designed as a place where people feel welcome, grounded and connected from the moment they arrive. Shaped by natural light, generous space and a calm material palette, the interiors support both quiet reflection and vibrant community gathering.
Flexible, thoughtfully planned spaces allow the building to be used throughout the week, from large worship services to children’s programs, learning, meetings and community events. Clear circulation, comfortable acoustics and integrated lighting make the space easy to navigate and enjoyable for people of all ages and abilities.
Strong visual and spatial connections to the surrounding landscape create a sense of openness and ease, while durable materials and robust detailing ensure the interiors can support everyday use over time. More than a place to visit, Sanctuary Church has become a shared space for connection, belonging and community life on the Sunshine Coast.
The interior design of Sanctuary Church has transformed the way we gather, connect and operate each day. The spaces feel welcoming and calm, helping people feel at ease whether they are long-time members or first-time visitors. The auditorium supports both large worship gatherings and more intimate moments, with excellent acoustics, visibility and comfort. Flexible children’s and community spaces allow multiple programs to run smoothly. Importantly, the building functions beautifully during the week as well as on Sundays, supporting meetings, learning and community events, and enabling lasting connection, inclusion and growth.
