The Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation
Victoria
Neighbourhood is more than a collection of homes, it’s a thoughtful, community-oriented response to sustainable urban living. A collection of four architecturally distinct buildings arranged around a verdant shared courtyard. Together, they form four communities within one neighbourhood.
The project occupies the site of a former warehouse, fronting north onto Balfe Park, stitching into the surrounding urban fabric and enhancing shared amenity. Comprising 89 homes, Neighbourhood is a mix of apartments and townhouses scaled to encourage active street engagement and promote dual aspect amenity for residents. A textured precast concrete facade, interconnected projected walkways, and a shared rooftop creates a strong sense of identity and diverse spaces to connect and dwell.
Neighbourhood boasts excellent ESD performance, departing from typical multi-residential planning through providing ground-level parking, accommodation of EV-charging and extensive bike spaces, and its commitment to 100% electric and carbon neutral in operation supported our values of a sustainable streetscape.
