The development at 5 Uhrig Road, Lidcombe is a large-scale mixed-use project transforming a light industrial area into a vibrant, sustainable community hub. It incorporates residential towers, low-rise buildings, and commercial spaces designed to enhance urban connectivity and meet diverse housing needs. The project prioritises environmental sustainability, with passive solar design, green roofs, rainwater harvesting, and energy-efficient features, targeting a 5-star Green Star rating for the commercial building. Public spaces, including green areas, pedestrian pathways, and communal courtyards, foster social interaction and contribute to the local domain. The development responds to its context, integrating with surrounding urban areas and Sydney Olympic Park while minimising overshadowing. With a mix of residential units and adaptable spaces, the project meets client and user needs, offering a range of housing types and community amenities such as a swimming pool and BBQ areas. This development balances cost-efficiency with long-term social, cultural, and environmental benefits.
