Nestled into a steep, tree-lined site in Leura, Treetop Haven is a multi-generational house that seamlessly balances family living, sustainability, and connection to nature.Â
Upper-level living spaces are elevated to capture northern light, garden outlooks, treetops, and distant views. The lower-ground level includes flexible bedrooms and a study—and a separate living area for music and entertainment, directly connecting to the garden. A broad gallery hallway with gallery lighting links spaces and showcases a growing eclectic art collection.
Retained mature trees and terraced gardens integrate the house into its natural setting and streetscape. Passive thermal design, rainwater capture, a 15 kW Solar system with dual-battery EV charging, recycled bricks and charred Australian hardwood cladding demonstrate environmental responsibility and biophilic design.
Internally, a restrained palette of natural materials creates a sanctuary-like environment that supports wellbeing and long-term adaptability. Treetop Haven exemplifies a thoughtful integration of program, context, allied disciplines, sustainability, and client needs.
