Members of the Tasmanian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects are invited to discuss the issues affecting them in the practice of architecture in Tasmania. This forum will be facilitated by Jason Licht, of Licht Architecture, and Jono Buist, of S. Group. The following will be included in the agenda: Approval Processes What's working and what's not under the new statewide planning scheme, how to manage multiple RFIs, approvals time frames, and performance solutions. Building Costs Escalating prices, managing budgets and client expectations. How can we provide clear budget advice to clients? Insurances Costs to insurances for practices? Are increases typical across the industry?
Architectural Fees Are fees reflecting increased complexity for approvals processes, managing construction budgets and time duration of projects?
Procurement Processes Has consistency and content in procurement procedures improved? Are the processes fair and equitable? Have you experienced prequalification challenges?
Free for members, $25 for non-members. A light lunch will be served at this event, courtesy of Brickworks.
