Chris Major is a founding principal of the award-winning Sydney practice Welsh + Major. Welsh + Major’s work has been recognized by numerous awards, with a portfolio that ranges across public spaces, workplaces, hospitality, industry and housing.  The work of the practice is concerned with the social and environmental repercussions of architecture, and the ideas that drive our cities, while maintaining a focus on context and landscape, memory and material. Underpinned by careful consideration of the way people live and how our cities and homes respond to the challenges of the present and future; the practice turns design that challenges prevailing paradigms into beautiful places for people.
