Julie Eizenberg named Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects

Australian Institute of Architects Fellowships are given to members who have demonstrated a significant contribution to the architecture profession beyond architecture practice. It is our pleasure to announce that Julie Eizenberg has been named a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects.

Julie Eizenberg has, over four decades, demonstrated that great architecture can be achieved in all building types, serving all people. This is evidenced in the many design awards her diverse range of projects have received, including single family homes, affordable housing, museums, libraries and schools, mixed use multi-family housing, office and heritage projects.

Her influence in the profession has been evident through her extensive lecturing at universities and conferences, her many teaching assignments in the United States and internationally, and the many magazine articles on her work. Julie has also served on many design award juries, including the Australian Institute of Architect’s International Chapter Jury in 2019.

Julie was a board member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and her firm Koning Eizenberg was selected as California AIA firm of the year in 2009. She received the LAAIA Gold Medal in 2012 and the Australian Institute of Architects Gold Medal in 2019.

Congratulations, Julie.
