SUMMARY:Value Talk 08: Public Space\, Play and Possibilities
DESCRIPTION:What might our public spaces make possible if we made more room for play? In the upcoming Value Talk\, Public Spaces\, Play and Possibilities\, we will  explore how play can spark curiosity\, bring people together and make our public spaces more welcoming for everyone. From art and architecture to the everyday places we share\, we’ll consider how design can invite us to explore and connect with our surroundings and with one another. How can a familiar place invite an unexpected encounter? What can children’s ways of seeing and using space teach us? And how can designers create opportunities for people of different ages\, abilities and backgrounds to join in? Through projects\, ideas and experiences\, our speakers will share how they approach these questions in practice. We’ll explore the processes and materials that open up possibilities for play\, and what it takes to bring those possibilities to life. Join us for a conversation about imagination\, belonging and what our public spaces could become.

SUMMARY:Australasian Student Architecture Congress
DESCRIPTION:The Australasian Student Architecture Congress is bringing you Weaving 2026 in Tāmaki Makaurau\, Auckland. 30 November – 5 December 2026. Weaving is a cross-cultural phenomenon\, a practice shared by all peoples. Weaving 2026 recognises and responds to this ancient communal practice and positions it as a framework for a collective and connected architecture discipline. The Congress expands weaving through five themes: place\, space\, connections\, knowledge; and a final theme directed to participants\, the binding thread and leading to questions beyond the congress: futures. Our six-day events program – shaped by these themes – includes a conference day (with local and international speakers)\, tours (by local guides and practitioners)\, and a two-day festival featuring more talks\, workshops\, music\, shared meals and exchange of knowledge\, in place\, together.
