SUMMARY:Value Talk 05: EmAGN Project Award
DESCRIPTION:Architects play a pivotal role in shaping the identity and future of our cities. Today’s emerging practitioners are responding to environmental and social imperatives with innovative\, forward-thinking designs. The Australian Institute of Architects recognises and celebrates these efforts through the EmAGN Project Award\, which honours the exceptional work of emerging architects and graduates whose contributions are making a lasting impact on the built environment. This Value Talk  brings together a diverse group of nominees who will share insights into their projects\, design aspirations\, and the challenges they’ve faced.

SUMMARY:Value Talk 07: Housing Futures: Policy\, Support and Design
DESCRIPTION:This Value Talk will explore the greater mechanisms of policy\, procurement\, delivery and the practical realities of those working in and with social and alternate modes of housing. With increased housing insecurity\, and a growing demand on the housing market\, Queensland’s population is facing a growing crisis in housing those who are most vulnerable. As key contributors to housing supply outcomes\, architects who understand housing policy and delivery processes and its challenges are better equipped to pull the necessary levers as designers\, advocates\, and decision‑makers\, shaping more thoughtful design responses and more equitable housing outcomes.  We look forward to insightful conversation from Eloise Atkinson\, Fiona Caniglia and Karen Edwards who will share their perspectives and insights working across the public housing delivery process\, followed by a panel discussion. This event is also in collaboration with Second Chance Programme to help launch their Annual Sleepout for Homelessness.
