SUMMARY:Moving Cities / Moving Communities - Launceston
DESCRIPTION:Beyond the most immediate concerns of dealing with the biophysical\, social and material devastation of the 2019/2020 fire season there is clear need to acknowledge and develop a far more comprehensive and strategic approach of adapting to climate change in Australia over coming decades. Whatever the outcome of emissions reduction nationally and globally even more major challenges and risks are going to arrive. Architecture and planning practices have a significant role to play in responding to this prospect\, but to do this they themselves need to adapt\, change perceptions and practice. Moving Cities/Moving Communities is one area of action that provides a basis to explore the nature of such change. \nLearning outcomes: \n\nComprehending the imperative of moving cities and communities\nUnderstanding the growing importance of ‘designing in time’ to practice\nGrasping the value of ‘autonomous design’ as a means of architecture and design leadership\nRecognising the imperative of futuring your own practice\n\n  \nThis seminar is worth 1.5 formal CPD points on completion of the formal activity. \n

SUMMARY:Moving Cities / Moving Communities - Hobart
\n  \nLearning outcomes: \n\nComprehending the imperative of moving cities and communities\nUnderstanding the growing importance of ‘designing in time’ to practice\nGrasping the value of ‘autonomous design’ as a means of architecture and design leadership\nRecognising the imperative of futuring your own practice\n\n  \nThis seminar is worth 1.5 formal CPD points on completion of the formal activity. \n
