In consultation with the Australian Architecture Conference Organising Committee this year’s Precedent conference program focuses on providing delegates with the opportunity to reflect on what has come before, focus on how we face the future and shape what is yet to come.

Canberra Study Tours
Tours will take place on Sunday 29 October, from 1.30pm – 4.30pm. All tours will depart from the same location, have a maximum capacity of 24 attendees and will attract a fee of $45pp. Tours include transportation, a tour guide, and light refreshments.

This is an exclusive event that includes content most relevant to students and emerging professionals, we encourage you to register if you are,
– A graduate within 15 years of graduating with an accredited qualification in Architecture (Master of Architecture or equivalent).
– A student enrolled in a Bachelors’s or Master’s program in a recognised architecture or related course
This is a fringe event has been developed by the Institutes Emerging Architects and Graduates Network (EmAGN) and The Student Organised Network for Architecture (SONA).

CONFERENCE SESSIONS
The masterclasses offer a unique opportunity for conference attendees to delve deeply into a specific topic and learn from a recognised expert in the field. It provides a focused and immersive learning experience that goes beyond the typical conference sessions, allowing participants to gain valuable knowledge, skills, and practical insights to enhance their professional development.
A Skills Lab is a hands-on workshop or training session that focuses on developing practical skills and competencies relevant to the architecture profession. It offers participants the opportunity to actively engage in activities, exercises, and simulations that enhance their abilities and provide practical experience in a controlled learning environment.
Three 30-minute sessions focusing on a topic from the Call for Abstracts submissions and moderated by an industry professional. Booking into a concurrent means you will remain in that room for all three sessions.
The panel discussions will provide a platform for experts to share their knowledge, exchange ideas, and generate meaningful discussions that benefit conference attendees. They are structured sessions where a curated group of experts and industry professionals come together to discuss and share their insights, opinions, and expertise providing an interactive platform to gain diverse perspectives, engage in thought-provoking conversations, and deepen your understanding of the subject matter.
