International Chapter Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Learmonth as EmAGN representative on International Chapter Council.
International Chapter Council is focused on harnessing the EmAGN perspective in order to develop and grow the International Chapter and the Institute more broadly. With Amys skills and expertise we look forward to more fully engaging with potential and existing EmAGN members living and working overseas and securing those ties back to Australia.
Amy is an architect from Brisbane with over 10 years practice experience in Australia, the UK, and Ireland. She graduated with a Master of Architecture from the University of Queensland in 2014 and registered with the Board of Architects Queensland in 2017. Amy is currently in practice with Plus Architecture in Dublin, Ireland, where she has been based since 2022. She has also worked in Cambridge, UK (Owers Warwick Architects), Brisbane (O’Neill Architecture, Cox Architecture, Architectus), and London (Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners). Throughout this time, she has been Project Architect on several large, award-winning schemes and worked on a variety of project types across both design and delivery phases.
Amy is a collaborator in the critically acclaimed international arts collective Unqualified Design Studio (UDS), with whom she designs & produces large-scale immersive installations in the public realm. Recent work includes WITHOUT SIN – an interactive installation featured at Dublin and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals last year – and WORKAROUND – an exhibition and talk series at the RMIT Design Hub in Melbourne.
