Yeo-Yo is a residential interior that is shaped through material, colour, texture and spatial play. Set behind a modest 1925 bungalow, the interior unfolds around a circular internal garden, drawing light deep into the home.
Vaulted space becomes a defining interior gesture. A tall brick barrel vault anchors the living area, where shifting light reveals texture and depth throughout the day. Colour is used with confidence and care, with each space defined by its own palette and material presence. Brick is employed as both structure and finish, grounding the interior while allowing moments of softness and retreat. Colour is intensified in spaces of work and retreat, including offices and bathrooms, colour-blocked rooms amplify the saturation of colour throughout.
Through a balance of solidity and lightness, Yeo-Yo offers an interior shaped for daily life where traditional construction has been reimagined as a contemporary interior architecture.
In its 100th year, it’s been a privilege to see our Bungalow refreshed and transitioned into its next era. A clear connection to a colourful vision was evident early on between ourselves and our design team. It evolved through design and into the build as the spaces formed. We’ve arrived at a conclusion where each room and space feels distinct, personal  and specifically curated. Whilst colour is prominent and eye catching throughout, as we’d all aimed for, the design team have also delivered palettes and selections that provide a sense of calm. It's a gift to call it home.
