Victoria
A significant alteration and addition to a double-fronted Victorian villa re-arranges living spaces around a series of gardens. The project transforms a previously dark and disconnected building into a home that celebrates space and light. The owners’ vibrant outlook informs a considered use of colour to articulate spatial clarity and animate moods throughout the home. A mix of expansive open plan areas connect to landscape, while softer intimate spaces offer opportunities for retreat.
A key aim of the project was to embrace both historical and contemporary elements, achieving a dynamic balance through a shared palette of geometry, colour and pattern. These elements establish a narrative that elevates the aspirations of the original architecture while creating a layered, immersive home for a family of five.
