Media summary

Woodlea is a growing masterplanned community in Melbourne’s west, with this project forming its third sales hub. Designed for long-term adaptability, the building will transition into a future veterinary hospital, reinforcing Woodlea’s community-focused ethos.

The single-storey, L-shaped building is organised around a central courtyard that connects to surrounding parks and playing fields, fostering social interaction.

Two masonry pavilions house the sales suite, offices, café and veterinary clinic, unified by articulated façades, vertical fins and expressive roof monitors. Civic presence is addressed along the main road, while more intimate pedestrian-scaled spaces are created internally and along side streets. Daylight-filled interiors, warm earthy tones and layered pavilions enhance comfort and human scale.

Fully electric and supported by solar power, the adaptable design reduces environmental impact while providing a lasting mixed-use social anchor for the evolving Woodlea community.
