Sydney Metro – Victoria Cross Station is a landmark transport hub redefining North Sydney’s civic heart and delivering a world-class metro experience. 

Designed by COX Architecture, comissioned by Lendlease, as part of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project, the station pairs seamless transport functionality with an expanded, high-quality public domain. 

A dramatic double-height southern entrance on Miller Street and a sculptural northern entry on McLaren Street prioritise intuitive wayfinding, natural light and effortless connectivity. 

A new civic green spine, activated retail laneways and landscaped plazas extend the public realm, supporting gathering, movement and life beyond the daily commute. 

Materials and detailing at the northern entrance draw from North Sydney’s rich early-20^th-century heritage while projecting a confident contemporary identity. 

With capacity for 30,000 passengers each peak hour, Victoria Cross sets a benchmark for integrated Station development – uniting transport efficiency, sustainability and placemaking to create a civic legacy for Sydney’s future.
