The Valley Plastics interior fitout delivers a complex medical brief and program for a plastic surgery consultancy expansion within an existing building of local heritage significance, whilst overlaying, defining and realising the design concept being aesthetics, art and beauty, using light as a tool to achieve sublime elegance in its articulation.
The design concept mirrors a glowing light box against a solid box, wet against dry areas. Seamless detailing of glass provides reflective surfaces and an illuminated corridor space that not only functions as the primary circulation spine but displays a private art collection layering in function, complementing and bolstering the primary function of a plastic surgery consultancy and encapsulating the philsophy of aesthetics. The reflections of human and building skin and form are key elements.
This project expertly delivers a clear and concise program for the client, that is seamless in use, function, form and aesthetics.
Valley Plastic Surgery’s expansion was driven by a need to meet the growing demands of our business while maintaining our presence in the same building. The design expertly balances functionality with aesthetic, creating a space that enhances patient flow and supports efficiency. Thoughtful layout choices ensure a seamless experience for both patients and staff, fostering a calm and professional environment. Additionally, the design pays homage to the building’s history, preserving its charm while integrating modern elements.
