The USQ B Block Refurbishment transforms the existing under-utilised administrative building into a new contemporary Cultural Precinct for the campus. The ground level provides a ceremonial entry with flexible gallery and function spaces and adjacent ancillary support rooms. The resultant building will provide a new cultural focus for USQ located at the key masterplan entry axis of the campus.
The upper level forms a flexible framework for an open plan office environment to deliver a healthy collaborative space for the administrative team. The Vice-Chancellor and the adjacent board room have been upgraded to deliver a timeless simple clean design, with a new palette representative of the values of the University of Southern Queensland, wishes to move into the future.
