Gold Coast and Northern Rivers
Pimpama Sports Hub is a 14-hectare integrated sports facility on the northern Gold Coast. Liquid Blu, the specialist architects for aquatic environments, was engaged by the City of Gold Coast to undertake master planning and architectural design for an ambitious multi-use community centre.
The result is the thriving Pimpama Sports Hub. All phases opened to the public in December 2021. The Hub is a vibrant piece of public infrastructure for sports and community activities. Areas include a state-of-the-art aquatic centre housing five pools (including a 50-metre pool), eight tennis courts, 12 netball courts, a community playground, an outdoor event space with a natural amphitheatre, a community centre, and a fitness centre. A walking trail, extensive landscaping and a café are also part of the precinct.
Pimpama Sports Hub is a major addition to public infrastructure in fast-growing South East Queensland that will serve the community for many years to come.
