Media summary

Occupying a site on the knuckle of a sharp bend in the road, this artisanal concrete house embraces treetop views across Sydney in a family home built for modern life. The house runs east to west with glazing along the northern side. From the street, it presents a concrete and glazed façade with an angled wall that envelops a small front garden. Inside, the parabolic shapes of the curved walls in the front entry and staircase were expertly cast in sustainable concrete. The design also has allowed access to publicly owned land and stairs at the side of the house.
