Western Australia
The interior fit-out at 2 Parliament Place, located opposite Parliament House, accommodates ten parliamentary tenants and enhances collaboration across buildings within the Western Australian Parliamentary Precinct.
Materials and finishes were chosen for their timeless, professional aesthetic, inspired by Parliament House and Western Australia’s natural environment.
Specialist areas feature high acoustic attenuation, with each space co-designed to meet tenant needs while maintaining a high architectural level of finish and detailing.
The design seamlessly blends parliamentary tradition with modern functionality, supporting both operational efficiency and a sophisticated work environment.
The new fit out for 2 Parliament Place underscores Parliament’s vital role in WA, consolidating dispersed teams for a more efficient operational model, rationalising multiple leases and streamlining administrative processes. The co-location of teams in a space directly adjacent Parliament House emphasises a commitment to synergy and effectiveness, allowing for smoother communication and decision-making. This project aligns resources to better serve the needs of WA’s parliament and people, ensuring a more effective and responsive parliament.
