Chris and Hayley came to Create Architecture with well-considered values and ideas around form and materials. They had an appreciation for optimising space through built-in furniture, connecting with nature via tranquil and meditative spaces and creating depth and complexity through rich materiality. Their ideas came from a deep understanding of what space meant to them and the role materials play in making space warm and comfortable.
Every facet of this project reflects the client’s personality and as such sings a unique tune. The facade, a canvas of rich hues and textures, tells a story that evolves with the sun's journey. Geometric intricacies and unconventional windows invite viewers to experience surprise from every angle.
When we began working with Create Architecture, we had a vision not only of how our home would look but how it would feel. We wanted the majority of living spaces on one level, yet still spacious, which we knew would be tricky on a small site. The team helped us achieve all we hoped for. This house has become our family sanctuary, where we share meals and moments with loved ones. It feels like an extension of us, something truly special. When friends visit, every corner just works. Comfortable, welcoming, and exactly how we imagined home should be.
