MAC Residences is the first building to complete in the new Midtown MacPark neighbourhood. The tower stands at the neighbourhood’s highest point and serves as a gateway to the future precinct. Its calm expression, efficient floorplan and clever ground level interface set a high bar for Midtown’s 23 remaining buildings that, once built, will form a new high density mixed-use, mixed-tenure community.
A triple-level base organises a childcare centre, residential arrival plaza, carpark entry and circulation. Above, the tower rises 23 storeys, offering 269 apartments including 23 wheelchair-accessible units. Residences are planned to work in tandem with the form so that amenity is maximised. The façade combines a precast concrete structure, high performance thermal envelope and rigorous repetition to deliver an efficient and elegant expression.
