Glen Waverley South Primary School has been transformed from an ageing suburban campus into a contemporary learning environment and vibrant community hub. Developed through a comprehensive masterplanning process, the project supports future-focused pedagogy while strengthening the school’s presence within its neighbourhood.
Stage One delivers two new buildings that introduce collaborative learning neighbourhoods, flexible teaching spaces, and highly visible library, STEAM, and performing arts facilities. A new street-facing entry and administration building re-establishes the school as a welcoming civic institution, improving legibility, accessibility, and connection to the community.
The architecture is conceived as a village of articulated forms that respond to the scale of the surrounding suburb. Carefully integrated landscape, colour, and graphic elements create a human-scaled environment that supports learning, play, and informal gathering. Together, the new buildings establish a clear identity for the school while providing adaptable spaces that support contemporary education and long-term growth.
