Florence is a coastal multi-residential project shaped by Burleigh’s beachfront landscape, climate, and natural rhythms. Designed by bureau^proberts for Mosaic Property Group, the building comprises nine single-floor homes that offer high-amenity beachfront living through a sensitive response to place. The building’s articulated form and folding slab edges reference the undulating outcrops of the nearby Burleigh headland, while a glazed envelope is moderated by horizontal timber battens that provide privacy, shade, and texture. Florence carefully engages its context by acknowledging existing Norfolk Pine trees, carving back the building to allow space for growth and integrating landscape vertically to enhance micro-climatic cooling. The homes are oriented to maximise views, light, and liveability, with east-facing living areas and master bedrooms positioned for prized northern light. Grounded in climate and landscape, Florence connects residents to the Esplanade, the parkland, and the everyday rhythms of coastal life.
Florence by Mosaic elevates everyday living through a sculptural, site-responsive design that functions as nine vertical beachfront homes. Full floor layouts, private lift access, and house-like spatial planning enhance comfort, privacy, and flexibility for work and home life. Deep cantilevered balconies, northern-oriented master suites, and seamless indoor–outdoor connections support passive comfort and year-round recreation. Curved glazing, natural materials, and integrated landscaping—including a preserved Norfolk Pine—embed wellbeing and nature into daily experience. Advanced sustainability features, acoustic performance, and smart home automation further enrich liveability, creating an enduring environment that supports sophisticated living and effortless coastal leisure.
