_A substantial Brutalist textural off-form concrete home, sculpted to capture the expansive views of the sweeping Swan River from high on the exclusive Mosman Park cliffs._
This residence is layered journey with classic tones of roman travertine and the warmth of American walnut to contrast the in situ formed concrete walls bearing the texture of the Oregan Form boards. The luxurious but quiet palette provides a support act to the brutalist structure, employing natural tones of feature slab marble and accents of blackened steel, aged brass, and grass wallpaper.
River views are captured through the expansive sliding glass panels, melting the boundaries from the interior and exterior terraces and entertaining spaces on all three levels. A journey through the home reveals a discovery of secluded internal and external spaces – which are thoughtfully curated to provide privacy and sanctuary. This home is crafted to utilize every inch of the site.
We love all aspects of our home. The materials, lighting, how the eaves block the summer sun, yet capture the winter sun and sea breezes. The house is filled with Wow factor, the stunning courtyard void, the tactile cool off-form plank concrete, the smooth warm travertine. It is amazing to entertain in, guests love the entertaining spaces, utilizing every inch of the site, particularly the living spaces that are oriented to best capture the river view, yet still feel private. It is even more amazing to live in, the layout is immensely functional, it is large but always feels comfortable.
