Friday night marks the halfway stage of the 2011 National Architecture Conference. Our scene is the glittering BMW Edge Gallery at Melbourne’s Federation Square, where ten young architects and graduates will ascend the stage. Each will present a project which reframes our theme, Natural Artifice. A panel of invited luminaries from the conference will then offer encouragement and critique as they reflect and expand on the presentations. At the Young Architects Forum, Australia’s next generation of place makers will demonstrate their sincerity, wit, spontaneity and above all, creativity. For delegates, it will be a chance to learn whose hands we are in.
