Following the overwhelming success of recent National Architecture Conferences, and in particular the positive response to the international keynote speakers who appear at the events, the Australian Institute of Architects has developed an International Speaker Series. The Series will bring exceptional and inspiring architects from abroad to Australia for talks in some of our major cities.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
The Institute is sincerely disappointed to have to advise that the International Speaker Series presentations planned to be delivered by Richard Meier in June will unfortunately not now proceed.
We wish to assure you that the Institute operated in good faith with Mr Meier and his office in the planning of these talks. However, as you are probably aware, he was required to undergo surgery in February and the originally planned dates were postponed. Although we were assured by his office that the revised dates were absolutely confirmed, we received a request this week to cover substantial additional expenses that had never been agreed to or discussed. These additional costs cannot be funded by the Institute and we have thus had no option but to cancel the talks.
We understand the concern that these circumstances raise and confirm that full refunds will be issued to all ticket holders thorough a credit to the card originally used to purchase the tickets.
