Formed in October 2005, the Royal Australian Institute of Architects created the Venice Biennale Committee to facilitate the re-establishment of an Australian exhibition at the Architectural Biennale in Venice. The establishment of the committee has been made possible due to the RAIA dedicating significant funding to ensure that Australian architecture is represented at the next three Venice Architecture Biennales.
