The Australian Institute of Architects Gold Medal is the highest honour the Institute can bestow. The award was created 50 years ago to recognise distinguished service by Australian architects who have:
- designed or executed buildings of high merit;
- produced work of great distinction resulting in the advancement of architecture, or
- endowed the profession of architecture in a distinguished manner
The Gold Medal is held in high esteem both nationally and internationally with previous recipients including Robin Boyd, Jørn Utzon, Glenn Murcutt and Gregory Burgess.
Lindsay and Kerry Clare were announced as the 2010 Gold Medallists at the Australian Achievement in Architecture Awards on the 18th March 2010 in Brisbane.
Lindsay and Kerry will kick off their Gold Medal tour around Australia in Melbourne in May. Below is a list of tour dates:
