Practicing architecture in a country town is an intertwining of relationships, experiences and exploration. On this tour become immersed within the community of Wingham, visiting award winning buildings by local architects, Austin McFarland, experience the unique opportunity to tour a working local hardwood timber mill, and feel the heat radiating from a dry press of a working brickwork’s kiln. It will also showcase how a school body invested the BER grants within the local community.

Bus Departs Port Macqaurie (Mercure Centro) 9.30am
Registrations and Lunch from 11am at Bent On Food Cooking School Wingham

12pm Tour includes:

-Tour 2011 AIA Blacket Prize Winner - St Joseph's Primary School
-Tour of Machins Sawmill
-Tour 2010 Residential Award Winner - Tallowwood Ridge Residence
-Afternoon Tea
-Tour Trade Training Centre, St Clare's Highschool

-Dinner - Tellers Restaurant, Wingham
-Bus returns to Port Macquarie
