TIME FOR DRAWING - Time for coming to our senses, time for experiencing architecture.
A talk by Rena Czaplinska
“I believe that to build a life sustaining society we need to use our minds and we need to use our creative intuition. Fundamental to this approach is to work from direct experience allowing time and space for a feeling response. Our responsibility as architects is to come back to our senses and to tune our bodies. Drawing and somatic training may provide these skills and experiences. “ Rena Czaplinska
Rena Czaplinska is an Australian architect who specializes in sustainable and healthy building design. She teaches design and drawing at University of Sydney and conducts popular drawing workshops. Her teaching method called Embodying Vision integrates sketching mindfulness and movement.
