Hobart’s Inner City Development Plan
In December, Gehl Architects presented the first stage of Hobart’s Inner City Development Plan to the Hobart City Council in his report entitled Hobart 2010: Public Places and Public Life – a city with people in mind. The Council has made the report publicly available on its website. Click here to download the report.
The Council is planning a formal, comprehensive consultation program during February and March to obtain feedback and community views on the recommendations, and the Chapter would like to make a submission. Chapter Council encourages all members to read the report and to email me any comments or issues that you would like Chapter Council to consider in its response to the report. Chapter Council will be discussing its response at the February Chapter Council meeting and so if you have any feedback, please respond by COB on Monday January 24.
