Lifting the Lid on Part J 1.2 Compliance in Commercial Buildings
Presented by Blair Freeman
Blair Freeman is the Regional Technical Services Manager for Fletcher Insulation and is also the National Training Co-ordinator for the current training scheme, responsible for training installers for the ‘Homeowner Insulation Program’ (HIP) funded by the Federal Government. His role is to supply technical support and advice on energy efficiency, thermal and acoustic needs in a range of industrial, commercial, residential, marine and other projects.
Blair will discuss Fletcher Insulation’s recently developed solution to Part J 1.2 compliance in commercial buildings called “Roof Rack”. Roof Rack is a spacer system for roofing and insulation that ensures the Permastop blanket recovers to its nominal thickness, and ensures compliance with Part J of the BCA.
Blair will also discuss BCA updates for Jan 1, 2010 for Tasmania and the use of some existing and new products that help to ensure compliance. He will also provide information on Summary Material V, total R values and the use of the ICANZ thermal handbook reference.
