ABOUT THE VENICE ARCHITECTURE BIENNALE
The Venice International Architecture Biennale is arguably the most important event on the International contemporary architecture calendar. Thousands of the world’s most influential architects, designers, urban planners, developers and critics visit the Biennale, resulting in considerable discussion and commentary in the architectural press and general media.
The 13th Venice International Architecture Biennale is taking form with the internationally-appointed director David Chipperfield selecting ‘Common Ground’ as the overarching theme of the event.
Chipperfield chose the theme to encourage relevant international dialogue and examine ‘vital, interconnected architectural culture, and pose questions about the intellectual and physical territories that it shares’.
