ARCHITECTS PROFESSIONAL RISK SERVICES
Architects Professional Risk Services has been managing the Architects Professional Indemnity Insurance Facility (the Facility) for over 35 years.
In the late 1990s, they first introduced risk management services, initially in the form of contract reviews and subsequently in the form of risk management seminars, newsletters and practice notes. Their risk management services are unique in Australia and form an essential part of the professional indemnity insurance package for architectural practices insured under the Facility. Significantly, experience has also shown their “hands on” approach to risk and claims management has assisted in controlling claims against architects.
In view of their daily contact with the architectural profession, Architects Professional Risk Services have developed specialist knowledge of the insurance and risk management issues that can cause problems from a claims perspective. Their ability to filter claims experience through to their risk managers means they can present topical and practical material on the real risks encountered by architects.
Presentations are usually provided in house to larger practices insured under the Facility. Smaller practices have the opportunity to attend regular group risk management sessions in major cities and regional centres throughout Australia. Presentation cover topics ranging from risk management, professional indemnity and contractual issues to emerging risks such as safe design.
