About the series
Originally established by the Australian Institute of Architects in 1987, this series brings architects with national profiles to brave the winter chills of Canberra to present their projects and working methodologies to Canberreans. Now in its twenty-fifth year since its original inception the speaker series continues to bring the issues at the forefront of architectural design to architects and non-architects alike in Canberra.

Partnering with the National Gallery of Australia
Over the years the series grew in popularity with word reaching well beyond the architectural profession, leading to the partnership between the NGA and the Institute in 1995. This partnership is an important link between the profession, the public and one of Canberra’s most important national institutions. The Institute welcomes this partnership and looks forward to continuing this strong working relationship.
