Australian Achievement in Architecture Awards

Placing the achievements of people in architecture more firmly into the spotlight, the Australian Achievement in Architecture Awards will bring together a suite of existing annual architecture prizes.

Headlined by the announcement of Lindsay and Kerry Clare as the 2010 Australian Gold Medallists, the Australian Achievement in Architecture Awards also announced the winners of the following prizes at the awards ceremony on 18th March 2010 at the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane:

COLORBOND Steel Glenn Murcutt Student Prize
Neville Quarry Architectural Education Prize
Student Prize for the Advancement of Architecture
COLORBOND® steel Student Biennale Prize
Dulux Study Tour
Leadership in Sustainability prize
National President's Prize

The new ‘people-focused’ event ensured a higher level of recognition for the recipients of the above prizes.

The Australian Achievement in Architecture Awards will now be an annual event and rotate around the country in March each year. There is also scope for the development of new prizes recognising individuals making a contribution to the profession and Australia’s built environment.
