FAD returns for 2017

We're proud to launch our website for The Festival of Architecture and Design (FAD) 2017 http://fad.org.au/
a celebration and promotion of the role of South Australian architects and designers.

This year FAD has been invited to curate the "Future Cities' theme for Open State, a festival of collaboration, innovation, ideas and enterprise. The Open State hub on North Terrace will see Future Cities events with happenings taking place around North Terrace. All led by our intrepid TREMMA creative team

If you want to be part of FAD and have an idea for an event that fits our theme we would love to hear from you. Please let us know your thoughts. Preliminary ideas are welcome. As the Institute is curating Future Cities we've been given an extension, and initial expressions of interest
can now be submitted by May 17.

Architecture on Show Series

Architecture on Show is a series of focused events and discussions presented by members of the Australian Institute of Architects in partnership with local councils. The Institute aims to foster a productive relationship with communities by inviting local councils to join a national talk series presented in South Australia for the first time in 2016.

Participating councils will host a series of Architecture on Show talks that provide a platform for leading South Australian architects, planners and academics to present their work to the public, and offers the opportunity for the sharing of ideas and informed discussion on particular issues facing the Council – from housing through to public spaces.
